This chairperson and committee are responsible for providing luncheons for our wonderful teachers and staff, and also provide lunches for guest speakers as needed. These luncheons are generally held at the beginning of the year, around the New Year’s holiday, and then again at the end of the year.  In addition, this committee provides snacks and goodies for the principal’s coffees, and organizes the Teacher Appreciation week.

This chairperson creates and maintains a database of volunteers that is gathered during the registration process and during the school year.  This person will also ensure we have volunteers for a wide variety of activities throughout the year, providing scheduling help as requested, and ensuring that volunteer opportunities are communicated via our weekly emails.

This person is responsible for the weekly email communications that are sent out during the school year. We use a very easy program that includes a template, and this job is perfect for someone who has a gift for writing. It is also a great way to stay “in the know."

Pleasanton Partnerships in Education Foundation, a community-based organization, exists to enhance learning experiences for students of the Pleasanton Unified School District through a partnership of business, education, and the community. This person would serve on the PPIE as our liaison. The PPIE does many wonderful things for our students by providing opportunities for both student grants and teacher grants.

Go Green

This chairperson will work to implement the Go Green Initiative. This is a simple, comprehensive program designed to create a culture of environmental responsibility on school campuses across the nation. Founded in 2002, the Go Green Initiative unites parents, students, teachers and school administrators in an effort to make real and lasting changes in their campus communities that will protect children and the environment for years to come. This chairperson would work with the Hart Student Leadership team and staff on this program at our school.

Huskies, show your school spirit! This committee is responsible for ordering and keeping track of the inventory of our spirit wear. It also sets up, sells and keeps track of sales for our spirit wear at various functions. Students are encouraged to wear their spirit wear on the school spirit days.

The person or people in charge of the cookie dough fundraiser work with our supplier to set sales dates and a delivery date, and then work on delivery day to make sure all families get the cookie dough they ordered. Cookie dough is sold in the fall and the spring.
eScrip

This person is responsible for advertising and coordinating eScrip and other donation programs. This is a great program for our school, adding thousands of dollars for our students.
