Hart Hoofers Raise Money

Thirteen Hart students were among 60 dancers who gave it their all at last weekend's 24-hour dance marathon to raise money for Project Roadrunner.

The dancers, all girls ages 8 to 18, are part of the J&T competition team at Jazz 'n Taps Dance Studio in Pleasanton. The girls danced for 24 grueling hours at the studio to raise money for Project Roadrunner, which benefits families served by Marylin Avenue Elementary School in Livermore. The school has a large percentage of students who come from families living far below the poverty level.

Dancers raised money by getting people to pledge donations for the marathon. Each dancer was asked to raise at least $100. The 60 dancers raised an incredible $12,982 for Project Roadrunner. The money will be used for the project's annual holiday gift drive.

Hart students who took part in the dance marathon are Miranda Kanowsky, Holly Gouveia, Kelly Renton, Nicole Gilbreth, Tiffani Swan, Carly Muller, Alyssa Greaney, Alex Keir, Erin Griffith, Maddie McGarry, Madi Graham, Gabby Syed and Rebecca Deckinger.

Congratulations to Hart's amazing dancers for their hard work and dedication to community service!
