Whooping Cough Vaccine

We are begging you to get your 6th-graders the whooping cough vaccine so that they can start school in the fall. We still have 150 6th-graders who have not turned in proof that they have had the whooping cough vaccine.

Students who do not have a current vaccine or booster will not be allowed to start 7th grade in the fall.

Please do not call or e-mail the school to ask if your student's vaccine records are current. You will be notified by phone or e-mail if your student has not turned in proof of a whooping cough vaccine.
A new state law requires all students in grades 7-12 to have a current whooping cough (pertussis) vaccine or booster. Students entering 7th grade must provide the school with written proof they have a current whooping cough vaccine or booster shot.

Please check with your child's physician as soon as possible to make sure your child's vaccines meet the new state requirements. Turn in written vaccine proof to the Hart health office ASAP.
