Nearly half of the whiz kids in the Pleasanton school district's Geometry Bee hail from Hart this year, a testament to our smart kids and outstanding math teachers.
 
Ten Hart students have been invited to take part in the invitational round of the Geometry Bee for the chance to compete for the title of geometry champion of Pleasanton.
 
Hart's Geometry Bee contestants are:

The city Geometry Bee will be held May 29 at Harvest Park Middle School. Best of luck to all of Hart's participants.
 
Nearly a dozen Hart students were recognized recently at a regional awards ceremony for academically advanced students sponsored by the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth.
 
The students were among those nationwide recognized for their exceptional performance on a rigorous, above-grade-level test given to students in second through eighth grades. In addition, seventh- and eighth-grder take the SAT or ACT college entrance exam.
 
More than 33,000 students form more than 60 country took part in the talent search exams. Roughly 30 percent who took part were recognized for their high scores.
