Halloween at Hart

The bewitching season is upon us. Since Halloween falls on a weekend this year, Hart will celebrate on Friday, October 30 with the annual costume contest during the day and the added bonus of a movie night.

Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets is the featured movie. Fun and activities start at 4:30 p.m. with the movie starting promptly at 5 p.m. All festivities will end by 8 p.m.

Hart's leadership class will host a Halloween costume contest during all three lunches on Friday. Students may enter their costumes in one of these categories (tentative info):
  • Scariest
  • Funniest
  • Most creative
  • Best partner/group costume
Students are welcome to don dreadful or wacky costumes, but please remember that the regular school dress code still applies for this spookiest of holidays.

In addition to the regular dress code rules, these special Halloween rules apply:
  • No fake (or real) weapons.
  • Masks cannot interfere with classroom procedures.
  • No revealing clothes or vulgar, sexually suggestive or inappropriate words on clothes.
  • No gang look-alike or gang-related items.
  • Temporary hair color is OK.
  • Footwear is required.
  • No bare midriffs.
  • Undergarments may not show.
  • Skirts, shorts and tops must meet dress code requirements.
  • No udders. (Nope, we're not joking.)
  • Students must take part in all classes.
Everyone's looking forward to a fun and creative Halloween at Hart this year.
