Hart History Students Advance to State Level

Congratulations to Charles Guo, Alec Kron and Olivia Zhu whose history day projects were chosen at the Alameda County level to advance to the state competition.
All eighth-graders were required to create a history day project with this year's theme, "Conflict and Compromise in History." Nine students' projects were chosen to compete at the county contest, held March 19 at the Oakland Museum of California.
The three state-level students and their projects are:
Charles Guo, Surrender at Appomattox, Web site
Alec Kron, Stephen Decatur, exhibit
Olivia Zhu, Jay Gould, exhibit
History Day in California is a statewide program sponsored by the Constitutional Rights Foundation in conjunction with National History Day. The state contest will be held May 8-11 in Sacramento.
Congratulations to Charles, Alec & Olivia! Best of luck at the state competition!
