Three Hart students who took the initiative to apply for grants were recognized for their efforts by being chosen as grant recipients.
The grants are awarded by the Pleasanton Partnerships in Education Foundation, a nonprofit group that works with the community and businesses to enhance education.
Students must work in their own to submit grant applications, get at least one teacher sponsor and gain approval from the principal. Grants are awarded in the fall and spring.
Hart student who were awarded grants are:
- Kyle Smith, $500, Hart robotics team -- for robotics equipment and competition fees
- Brian Soto, $500, Hollywood at Hart -- equipment for new movie-making club
- Kyle Wiest, $300, Husky Howler -- for camera to provide photos for school newspaper
Congratulations to these students for taking the initiative to apply for these incredible grants!
Applications for spring grants are due by March 10, 2009. Click here for more info and the application form.
