Spend an evening with friends as you enjoy scrumptious pasta, fine wine and awesome auction items at the annual Hart Beat dinner.
This year's event will be held Friday, May 8 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the newly refurbished Veterans Memorial Building, 301 Main St.
Leave the kids at home to enjoy this adults-only evening of fun to benefit Hart's award-winning band program.
Hart Beat veterans know that the evening's tender pasta is topped by scrumptious sauce prepared by band director Dennis "Mr. A" Aquilina using his top-secret recipe. Your pasta will be accompanied by salad, bread, drinks, dessert and after-dinner coffee or tea.
Adding spice to this year's event is a wine bar supplied by the Mitchell Katz Winery at Ruby Hill. You can choose from a variety of red or white wines for $10 per bottle or $4 per glass.
Entertainment will be provided by Hart's outstanding jazz, concert and symphonic bands, plus the string orchestra.
Tickets are $20 each, a true bargain in these tight economic times. The deadline to order tickets is May 5.
There will also be a drawing for nine awesome items and a fabulous silent auction. The evening's highlight is the live auction of dinner for six cooked by Mr. A himself. The fierce bidding for this perennial favorite starts at $200.
